If you don't get satisfaction soon, I would insist on speaking to the general manager of the dealership you turned the vehicle in to, and then to a supervisor at GMAC. Tell them you want compensation for your time and inconvenience and the negative impact this 'incident' may have on your credit report, and that your attorney is aware of the situation. We've had an ongoing battle with AT&T since March 15 when we decided to change our phone, cable and internet service. I have a couple of their customer service reps on my speed dial because I've talked with them so many times. Every time I call I get another promise of resolution and compensation - everything now is up and running, but we're still waiting on additional compensation and credits to our account, which today show a balance due of $375.00 on one page and $8.15 on another! I just tell them, I'm not paying until they get their act together. I hope you get the car thing worked out soon . . it can really wear you down!
