So, Jason came down to visit with us for two weeks when Tom returned home from 29 Palms. Over the 4th we went up to Michigan, Tom put in a leave request to see if they would approve it and at the very last minute, they did! So we spent a week in Michigan. The boys loved being up there again.

This week we are trying to get back into our old routines and get our mess back in order. We will be having some guests this weekend and as luck would have it, Tom is scheduled for duty the only full day they will be here. He is trying to switch with someone but we aren’t sure if it’ll work out. We thought Jones might come visit with us since it’s his last weekend before he deploys again, but he has to pack up his house. We wanted to be there to see him off, but it looks as though he’s leaving on a workday and Tom doesn’t think they will let him out of work.

I have a lot of photos from our trip to MI. Jason had his 9th birthday while we were there and so Jackie threw a party at the lake. The boys had a lot of fun swimming and they loved the boat rides. Alex loved it all too. He even got his first sliver this summer, the first one wasn’t bad though, it was the second one that we had issues with. Tom and I had to hold him down while one worked on pulling the sliver out of his foot. I think I need to start carrying tweezers in my purse from now on though, I needed to borrow Jackie’s for the sliver and when I found a tick on Anthony. Thanks for saving the day Aunt Jackie!
