Tommy had a special breakfast at school today for him and one kid from each of the other classes. The breakfast was for being voted Student of the Month for the month of December! His friends in class each wrote about how Tommy is kind and his teacher put them all together and bound it and he received it today. He also got a medal. The biggest surprise was that Dad was able to sneak out of work to attend the breakfast with him! He was really excited and had all sorts of neat things for breakfast. I forgot to send Tom with the camera this morning, but Tommy’s teacher took a picture of the two of them, hopefully we can get a copy from her. When he got home we took a couple of pictures of him with his medal on and his brothers.

Tom has to work tomorrow, but gets Monday off so that he still gets a “weekend”. Tax time is upon us, and we have submitted and received our tax return already (hit the bank account on Thursday). We are also exploring vehicle options as the lease on our Trailblazer is almost up and we’ll need something to cart everyone around in.

Not much else is new. The SmugMug account works out pretty nicely for us, so I think we’ll subscribe to it and ensure that if anything happens to our photos we’ll have backups of all of them online. Now on to the daunting task of uploading the many folders of photos we have stored on the computer.

It snowed most of the morning here, then it rained, then sleet and then more rain. Tommy’s school is running on a 2 hour delay tomorrow morning, Tom wouldn’t have to be to work until 9am tomorrow except he has duty on Sat and has to show up for the duty change-over in the morning.

I’m a bit behind in posting the photos for the past few days, I’m hoping to get to it this weekend. We also started a trial with SmugMug (down at the moment and short on photos, I don’t have alot of older photos on the laptop), a photo gallery host. It’s only a 14 day free trial, but we can upload our full-size photos and then if anyone wants to order prints they can off the website. The prices are comparable to Target’s photo printing services.
