On Thursday night we decided (with some prompting and begging from Anthony) to make a trip to the beach for the weekend. We drove to Jacksonville and stayed with our friends Chris & Sam for the weekend. It was supposed to rain on Saturday so we decided to take the kids to play putt-putt. It was very hot, and the kids had a lot of fun. No rain in sight though. We went back to their house and had dinner and were planning on heading to the beach after we ate, but by the time everything was finished and everyone ate, it was almost 7. So we all agreed to go first thing in the morning. So first thing Sunday morning we headed to the beach, it was unusually chilly but it was nice to be at the beach again. The boys had an excellent time, Alex wasn’t sure about the water at first but eventually (within a few minutes) loved it. We thought for sure he’d want to sit and play in the sand, he loves the sand box we have at the house, but he didn’t care too much to play in the sand, he wanted to chase the waves.

We got some ok pictures, but I was standing at a bad angle for the sunlight and there are some shadows, so we will try to see if we can fix them and upload them all.
