Tomorrow is field day at Tommy’s school. It’s his last Friday at school. Next school year he’s going to be in 1st grade! Where did the time go? We’re hoping that he will adjust to his new school in Stafford ok. He shouldn’t have much of a problem, he’s a social kid. But all the friends he’s made are at this school.

Our good friends Chris & Sam are moving back to Camp Lejeune in about 15-20 days. We will miss them. Thankfully they won’t be too far and we’ll have a good excuse to go to NC and go to the beach!

We are still waiting for all the work to be completed on this house. We really wish we had had an opportunity to get out of this. We wouldn’t have found a house as big for the same rent though. But, we probably could have just moved into SNCO housing on base, a 4 bedroom at least. That probably would’ve been a better move on our part. But we were trying to get out of base housing and figure out where we stood with the bills and everything for when the time comes and we aren’t allowed to live in base housing anymore.

School days this year. That’s right, Tommy’s last day of kindergarten is June 6th.

We’ve been kind of busy lately. Last Friday we went up to Andrews Air Force base to see Walker renlist. He stood on top of the EFV and promised another 4 years of service to the Marine Corps. Sat we sat around and played games, got some things done around the house. On Sunday we decided to go ahead back to Andrews to see air show. We thought that the boys would find it interesting, they liked it, but not as much as we thought they would. We tried to get Tommy to want to go look at a Marine Corp helicopter and all he could say to us was, “I’ve already seen it, it came to my school.” So we stayed there for a few hours then came home. On Monday we took Tommy out of school a little bit early and went to see Shrek the 3rd. It was really cute, since we went at 2:30 there was no one else in the theater with us so it was a nice trip. Now, if we could just do something about the cost.

We sent out Mother’s Day gifts, only a bit late. We feel horrible, but there were a few little things that just weren’t cooperating so it took a little more time than we originally had intended. But those are finally in the mail.

Mr S keeps saying he’s going to come over and doesn’t. Monday he called at 6:45 and asked if another day was ok because he just went to the eye dr and had his eyes diluted (we’re assuming he meant dialated), so we said sure whatever. So Tuesday it is. No, he called yesterday, thankfully at about 5 or 5:30, and said he forgot that yesterday was his anniversary. We can’t do it Thursday, Tom has duty. So, next Tuesday it is. Ugh…2 months we’ve been in this house and not everything has been finished.
