Yay! And, of course, it was as simple as something that the tech did at the main office. Yes, that’s right, he didn’t even come to the house. He called at about 3:45pm - after I waited here all day - and said he’d check the line because sometimes they turn on the DSL but don’t activate it on the line, or something to that effect. Either way, it’s on.

Update on the house:
Cabinets are to be installed on Friday and finished up on Saturday with the plumber coming to get the sink put in. Then on Monday the floors are supposed to be replaced. So hopefully by the middle of next week we should be able to have the rest of our furniture in the house. We are also crossing our fingers that the new cabinets will help with the horrible ant problem we seem to be having. We can’t wait for this all to be done and over with, then we can finally relax.

11 hours we waited here on Friday for Verizon to show up and they never did. Oopps they said, miss call and we’ll be a priority call. Uh-huh….Maybe Saturday the person says, not sure if the techs will be going out on Saturday. Saturday or Monday, being priority it’ll be first thing, one of those days. So, with our luck the techs will come by as I’m taking Tommy to school on Monday morning.

Then there was the order screw up with Direct TV. After a 1/2 hour and being transferred to someone who spoke English a little better and we were able to get what we wanted (mind you not what we had ordered originally). So we are still without our internet (still boucing off someone’s wireless connection).

We went to Bed, Bath & Beyond to try to pick up curtains &/or shades that we need for the house. We weren’t able to get Tommy & Anthony ones to match their red shades. But we were lucky enough to be able to pick up another curtain panel and window scarf for our room. So, if the boys don’t wake up before the sun tomorrow morning, the sun shouldn’t wake us up either.

We celebrated Tommy’s birthday on Friday night, after Direct TV was here installing the receiver and boxes, and Mr S showed up to check on the work done in the basement. We had KFC for dinner and had a car cake that Tom decorated. He opened his presents and loved them all. We’ll put up more pictures soon. Tomorrow we will be working on Thank You cards.
