Well, I talked with Barb today and we’ve got about 5 more weeks until she’ll be out to list the house for us! It’s shocking, scary and exciting all at the same time.

We’ve got a few more things to do to get the house ready. Just finish painting the hallway (I started that this weekend), finish and touch up the kitchen, and some touch up painting in our room and the living room. Oh, we also need to paint the bottom of the computer room walls, Anthony decided to use the walls as paper to color on with permanent markers. Some yard work too. Hopefully I can get the hallway done by Weds then start in on the kitchen. The yard work has to wait until it’s cooler, almost 5pm and it’s 96. Yesterday it rained for a few minutes and after it was 99. We have to finish stripping and staining Tommy’s dresser too. We’ve got the 4 drawers stripped, 2 stained, the other 2 need to have bath in the stripper and the whole dresser itself has yet to see the outside. Hopefully it’ll get cool enough to do that soon.

Tom’s into his 3rd week at Sgt’s Course (2nd full week). He’s very tired, stressed and busy. Essay’s, inspections, PT’ing 4 days a week, classes, and drill make him pretty busy. He usually doesn’t call to tell me he’s on his way home until about 5:30pm depending on traffic he’ll get home about 6:15 or so. He has to be at work by 5:45am and is usually getting up atbout 4:15am. So, this has been fun. Plus we still need to run and get him a new barracks cover (the white cover) for an inspection. Let’s hope that they don’t hold it until after payday.

They are selling 2 different “packages”. Tom already has his on reserve at Gamestop, I wonder which one the store will automatically get. Or maybe Tom will want the more expensive one??? One will sell for $299.99 and the other with some “upgrades” (20gb detachable hard drive, wireless controller, media remote, and a few other things) will sell for $399.99.

I wonder which one he will want?????

After reading some interesting opinions from others, I’m not too sure if we will still be getting the Xbox at all. And to make it worth it, we would be buying the $399.99 one. Otherwise there will be no wireless controller or 20gb harddrive included standard as previously promised. I didn’t realize that there wasn’t any kind of hard drive within the system, glad I read up on some very angry Xbox users opinions.
